D'Vana wasn't having an easy night. She had missed several appointments with her therapist only because she had more important things to do. The nightmares had become infrequent so she had thought she was moving past them. Unfortunately, D'Vana hadn't arrived at her usual shift of guarding Captain Violator. That was due to the fact that she was at this moment locked in a nightmare of her own creation. She was fighting to get to Lance again and failing to do so before Marcus delivered the first death blow even as she fought and struggled against the group that held and ripped at her clothing all over again.

How many times had she relived these scenes and events? How many times was she going to fight and fail to guard her commanding officer? How many times was she going to fail to change the outcome?

The half Klingon saw the right cross before it even connected unable to stop it as she was being held by an Orion male that despite her bloodlust at the moment was still stronger than she was. Everything went dark but she knew despite it, she was being carried off unable to stop them.

D'Vana came awake with a feral scream. The sound of it jolting her neighbor out of his bed and onto the floor reaching for his personal phaser and looking around for whatever was attacking him. He was panting heavily as he realized there was nothing in his room attacking him and that the sounds came from the next room over. He was out of his room in a second and using a security override to let himself into D'Vana's room phaser raised and ready to fire, only He found D'Vana alone.

"Jesus, Xavier what the hell? you trying to give me a heart attack?!" He demanded, giving a shake his head he turned back to leave D'Vana's quarters to return to his own.

D'Vana had watched him go without a word, the only casualty of the situation had been D'Vana's pillow. She'd torn it in half at some point. She brought her knees up and leaned her elbows against them as she covered her face with her hands. The half-Klingon half-Human was taking deep shaking breaths clinging to her Klingon strength to get her through this or she'd be useless if she let her human-side have a say in how to express her pain.

By the time D'Vana had managed to get herself under control and catch a glance at her timepiece she was cursing as she hurried out of her bed. "Dammit, I'm late!" knocking away the destroyed pillow the half-Klingon hurried to the bathroom to get ready for her shift, she was still on bodyguard duty for the very captain she had already failed once. To be honest, D'Vana was surprised he let her remain on as his bodyguard rather than send her back to security to defend his ship. After all, that was an epic fail on her part.

A few minutes later, once showered and dressed, D'Vana didn't stop long enough to eat, grabbed her com-badge and hurried out the door to find and guard captain Lance Violator.
